I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
